Composed in 1899 by Scott Joplin this charming ragtime medley was his first published one preceding Maple Leaf Rag by 6 months. Before this he had composed a few marches and a waltz and though this is a rag by title it resembles a cakewalk closer and draws heavily on folk tunes. Featuring 5 themes like the posthumously published Reflection Rag it delays re-entering the theme until the modulation and is not in the usual sequence of AA BB A CC DD typical of the composer Duet Sheet Music for Flute accompanied by Tuba arranged by Lars Christian Lundholm. – Instrumentation: Flute and Tuba – Level: Easy and Simplified Range – Score Type: Solo Score – Tempo: Medium – Genre: Ragtime – Composer: Scott Joplin – Year Composed: 1899 – Pages (approximate): 6
