Beschrijving
A collection of poems from the perspectives of animals and animal rights activists, this book explores themes such as justice, compassion, cruelty, love, and companionship. A constant question is whether we humans understand and respect the value of animals’ lives, families, and wellness. The poems range from exploring the lives of cows, chickens, turkeys, and dogs to animals that are threatened with extinction or already extinct due to climate change. Perspectives on environmental and animal rights documentaries are shared, as well as the courage and compassion it takes to be an activist for animal rights. This book will appeal to all who love animals, have pets, and actively support social justice.
